MAG7 Pit Services.
Fuel Orders Due By April 18th, 2021

Agua Dulce, CALIF. – Some of you probably have stories about Mag7 saving the day for you. Well the helpful folks in the orange shirts will be at the NORRA Mexican 1000 to help racers, and offer pit services. Two types of service will be provided at their strategically located pits during each day of racing. The number of pits depends on the course, and length of stages. Most days will have a splash pit, and a full service pit.

The splash pits will have tools, welders, and 3 gallons of gas provided by NORRA. They are designed to offer assistance, and extra fuel on longer stages. Stock UTV Classes will have to order fuel thru Mag 7 for the splash pits if they need more than 3 gallons and no extra cost will be added for service if they just need fuel. They will need to pay for the extra fuel. If a Stock UTV requires Mag 7 to haul spares to a desired pit, they will have to pay for full service.

The full service pits (provided for a fee) will transport your spares to the pits, and back, and fill you during the race with your desired fuel. All fuel needed in the full service pit has to be preordered on the Mag7 website, and is 91 octane. If you are running something else like pre- mix or high octane, you need to provide the fuel to Mag7. You can order it from SUNOCO thru the order form we posted, https://www.norra.com/PDFs/m1kSunocoFuelOrders_2021.pdf

Mag7 comes prepared for each race with an extensive list of supplies which can be found here: https://www.mag7race.com/pdf/Mag7StandardPitGear.pdf They also bring their years of experience, and knowledge of repairs on race vehicles of all types. They will be located in areas where assistance is most likely to be needed. Their goal is to make sure everyone gets to the finish at the end of the day. Just make sure to get your fuel order in TODAY! Fuel orders on the Mag7 website will be accepted until April 18th at 10:00 p.m. Spares can be dropped off during contingency at Horsepower Ranch starting April 22nd until noon on the 24th. Motorcycles will have fuel at both the splash pits, and the full service pit locations. There is no need to order fuel on the Mag7 website for bikes running 91 octane. All others will need to order on the Mag7 website before the deadline.

ABOUT NORRA

Beginning in 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting a rebirth of the NORRA Mexican 1000 rally. The unique off-road rally was co-created by promoter Mike Pearlman to consist of special stages (unlimited speed timed stages in the dirt) linked together by controlled speed liaison / transit sections (highway). The one-of-a-kind, once-a-year, five-day rally includes vintage off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as modern pre-runners, trucks, buggies, UTVs, bikes and desert Rally Raid cars.

Pearlman’s late father Ed and others established the first running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 off-road rally in November of 1967, which eventually became internationally recognized and evolved into the Baja 1000 in the mid-1970's.

NORRA enjoys corporate partnerships with Yokohama Tire, Method Race Wheels, South Point Hotel & Casino, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, RIGID, STEEL-IT, Volcon, Slime, Optima Batteries, K&N, Satellite Phone Store.com, Biltwell, PCI Race Radios, Schampa, Nite Rider Offroad, Multitool USA, Stage V Media, B3KREATIV, Mag7 Pits, The Fab School, Cerveceria Transpeninsular, Horsepower Ranch, Baja Bush Pilots, the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF), and many more.
